CYTA- Teacher Representative-role specification
● Consult with teacher members at CYTA events or via email re what they like/don’t like about
the current CYTA programme and what future improvements they would like to see.
● Liaise with any new trainee teacher members to elicit specific suggestions about support and
help CYTA can give them, both to establish themselves as teachers and also for their
continuous professional development.
● Approach trainee teachers via their tutors (or possibly social media) to promote CYTA and
encourage membership.
● Attend CYTA committee meetings and AGM to represent teachers’/trainee teachers’ needs.
● Attend CYTA events to give support, where needed, to the running of the event

● Occasionally help to progress actions agreed at meetings eg
researching/contacting a potential tutor for a future event and reporting back to committee
members.
